I came across to Nomo’s instagram page while searching for a wedding photographer. When I saw Nomo’s photos, I instantly fell in love and had already made up my mind who our photographer will be. When I showed her work to my husband he agreed with me that we definitely needed to get in touch with her. 

Her work is absolutely amazing, never mind the fact that everyone on her photos looks at least 10 years younger. ;) She captures moments so perfectly, that when looking at the photos you feel like you’re there. She gives you a chance to relive the beautiful moments we experienced. Her style of photography is truly breathtaking. I love how she uses the natural light to make something so magical. Her photos are very artistic, whimsical, authentic and give you a feel of happiness which was so important for us. 

Our initial meeting was set and we connected with her right away. It was important for us to have a chemistry with the photographer who will be capturing the most special day of our life. She was very friendly, professional and down to earth. We connected with her instantly and she was hired. 

My husband and I were new to photo shoots and a bit nervous for our engagement photo session, but Nomo made us feel like we were naturals. I still don’t know how she did that but we really looked like we had done it many times. We even brought our puppies with us and it was so much fun. As you can imagine, the photo shoot would take longer with puppies but Nomo did so well, she didn’t rush us nor felt that she had to be somewhere else. You can tell that she really loves her work and it was such an enjoyable time for all of us. Needless to say, the photos were just WOW! I wish I could do a photo shoot with her every day. :)

Our wedding day was fantastic. Nomo and her 2nd photographer captured our special day so beautifully. She is such a natural. She listens and pays attention to every detail.  She’s not only flexible and patient but also very understanding of situations which I greatly appreciated. She would go out of her way to make sure her clients are happy, no matter how many edits or how long it will take. She doesn't disappear after the work is done which gave us a piece of mind. Our photos were absolutely gorgeous. We received so many compliments from family and friends. We all looked stunning. 

Hiring Nomo for our wedding was one of our best investments. She gave us and our family such a wonderful memory. We highly recommend her and will sure use her services in the future.

My wife and I were browsing around for a wedding photographer and we had searched around for awhile until we came across Simply Sweet Photography.  We were recommended by a friend as my wife wanted to find a photographer that could capture "fairytale" style photos and we knew we found the right person when we saw Nomo's portfolio.  Nomo was very friendly and professional when we first met up with her to discuss what we needed and wanted.  She is always readily available to answer questions and really knows what the client's want.  I've heard of stories from people where they weren't able to communicate with their photographer and it ended up with photos that they weren't happy with.  We were very satisfied with our photos and how things turned out in the end and I think that is due to Nomo's experience and ability to translate what we wanted and she replicated it back into her photos.  Nomo is very open to your requests but also gives good suggestions to capture help angles or moments that showcase the best parts of your wedding.

Overall, we are very pleased with the outcome and would definitely recommend anyone to at least setup a consultation to see her and discuss about your wedding ideas.  I am sure she will be able to give you what you want for your big day!

I had been following Nomo on instagram for quite some time and when I booked my venue for my wedding the absolute first vendor I emailed was Nomo. Finding a photographer for an Indian and Persian wedding is tricky because of the multiple days, the style of shots that you want, and finding someone who can recognize and capture the most important parts of the ceremony. For that reason, I had only been hunting for photographers who specifically and exclusively shot Indian weddings but I am glad I didn’t follow through with my original plan and stuck with my gut and reached out to Nomo for a consultation. From the moment we sat together at JJ Bean up until the very end ( she dropped by my office a couple of months after with the cutest Christmas gift!),  Nomo’s photography style, her creativity, work ethic, responsiveness, skill and charisma is beyond anything I have seen before. I didn’t have to ask her to modify any pictures because they were absolutely flawless. She is by far the best vendor that I had handpicked for this wedding and I don’t regret anything except for not booking her for the other 2 pre-wedding events. We hired Nomo for our destination wedding after scouring the internet for a photographer who matched the style of photography we wanted for our big day. The minute I saw her photos I knew instantly that she was the perfect photographer for us, and her communication only solidified that. She was sweet, caring and enthusiastic in all of our conversations and always made us feel like the most important clients in the world. She was patient and flexible in the planning process of having her come along to Mexico, and when we finally met with her for our engagement shoot she exceeded all our expectations for what a photographer should be like. She made us feel so comfortable behind the camera, directed us into flattering poses and took candid shots as well. The photos were edited and in my inbox much quicker than I expected! Nomo and her assistant Jade joined us in Mexico and once again exceeded our expectations. The services that Nomo, from Simply Sweet photography provided my family, will be treasured forever.  

My husband and I renewed our vows this past July 2015, for our 10 year anniversary.  We treated this vow renewal like a second wedding, since we were young for our first.  We thought that this was our chance to do a few things differently! I had originally been very disappointed with my first wedding photos, and being that I am a photographer myself, I knew that this time had to be different.

I found Nomo online, and instantly fell in love with her work.  Her photos were timeless, soft, and she has an incredible talent for capturing the love between two people.  Not only is her work sensational, but her prices are incredible.  Although I truly believe she is worth much, much more. 

On the day of the renewal, Nomo was timely, professional, and pleasant to everyone.  My daughter especially fell in love with her.  When we received our photos, my husband and I were both surprised how fast she got them finished!!  We had woken up around 2:30 in the morning and saw the email from her, and we both knew we couldn't wait until morning to take a look.  We sat in bed, and viewed one amazing photo after another.  We were both in tears, seeing the beauty that she had captured in our family and guests.

Firstly, I am absolutely BLOWN AWAY by Nomo! We had Nomo as our destination photographer last weekend in Cabo at the Hyatt Ziva. If there’s one thing to really think about when getting married it’s the photos you are going to keep and cherish together forever. Searching for a wedding photographer was not an easy task, so when I saw Nomos photos I just knew she was the perfect fit.  My husband and I were very nervous for our engagement shoot having no experience with professional photos.  Nomo was so kind, patient, soft spoken and professional she made us feel so comfortable.  We love our animals and conveniently so does Nomo, we had our two dogs and horse included in the photos which was challenging at times...but you would never know by looking at the photos we were absolutely blown away!

Our wedding day happened to be one of the stormiest days In years... Rain, wind, earthquakes you name it we had it. The stress was high and Nomo made everything feel controlled, easy, and smooth. She works so hard and is so talented at what she does... I just wanted to recommended Simply Sweet Photography by Nomo Akisawa for boudoir. I spent hours researching different boudoir photographers in Vancouver and finally chose Nomo after finding her Instagram. I wanted elegant and tasteful photos. Nomo did not disappoint. Her photos are straight out a magazine and she does all of her incredible editing herself. There are photographers out there who charge an insane amount and it's not the quality of Nomos work. So happy!

Nomo did a fab job taking our families Christmas pics! Will be using her again next year for sure ! There are so many pics I love that I can't decide so I am making two Christmas cards lol. Love the fact that she listens to her clients and that she is so responsive via text, phone call or whatever ( especially for a new mom who doesn't have much time ). She also worked with inspiration photos adding her professional opinion and came to our home to take the pics . Honestly her work is the best but above all I appreciate the attitude and customer service which is hard to find .

We were referred by a friend of mine on Facebook to use Nomo for our wedding photographer. We looked at her website and was very impressed by her photography skills and really liked her style.

Nomo was very quick at getting back to us after we inquired about her services and shortly after some emails back and forth, we met Nomo at our home. She didn't hesitate to drive all the way from Maple Ridge to Richmond just to meet us. Nomo is very easy to talk to, friendly, easy going, and down to earth. 

She made us feel comfortable under the camera, especially during our engagement photo shoot. It was raining that day unfortunately, but using umbrellas, she still agreed and continued to take our photos and they turned out amazing! 

David and I were at times, camera shy, or didn't know what to do, but Nomo guided us very naturally to tell us where to stand and how to pose, place our hands, heads, and relax. She put in extra time just to get the location and shots that we wanted to have as well. 

On our wedding day, Nomo and her 2nd shooter dedicated a hot sunny day to shoot our wedding ceremony and formals, and took many beautiful photos that we will cherish for life. We greatly appreciate the extra time Nomo put in during our Reception as well.

I have recently worked with Nomo at a style shoot where we provided draping and vinyl dance floor wrap. Honestly, I have never been a huge fan of style shoot.
